We need to talk... about racism, empathy, George Floyd, and being Black in America

Hey, we need to talk.

As protest continues over the unjust death of George Floyd and the continuous mistreatment and brutality of some police to black Americans... we need to talk.

We need to take action. We need to do something. But what should be done? How and where should we start?

In this new podcast series, we’ll be tackling major current events with other experts and talk about solutions to address these issues.

For this episode, I’m joined by three of my good friends, brothers in arms, and soldiers on the front lines — Dasarte Yarnway, Samuel Deane, and Tyrone Ross, Jr. who are financial advisors helping minorities create wealth and achieve financial freedom.

We’re going to talk about what it’s really like to be Black in a society where oppression towards black people still exists. We talk about empathy and what it means for us black people when you want to be our allies.

Highlights:

>> Thoughts on George Floyd’s death

>> What can you do to support your black brothers and sisters

>> How can we help make things better?

>> Take action against racism

>> Financial education and economic empowerment

>> Activism and advocacies

>> The definition of an ally

>> The real deal about diversity

>> What it means to really have empathy
